COVID-19 Communication

For the past year, SleepQuest has been following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health authorities to ensure we have the right plans and resources in place to safeguard your health and wellbeing. Here are some steps we have taken and steps we’re asking of you to ensure we are all being proactive with safety.

What We’re Doing –

  • As a Healthcare provider, we are doing our part to help our communities as an “essential business” under all national, state, and local business restrictions. In order to prevent any limitation to access to care, our patient centers are open, seeing patients by appointment only.
  • We have a telehealth platform for seeing patients virtually as well, to aid patients who are reducing travel outside their homes.
  • Rather than walk into one of our patient centers to pick up supplies, please contact us and we will have them shipped to any address.
  • Our cleaning procedures are already thorough at SleepQuest; however, we’re taking extra time to clean and disinfect so that our facilities remain a safe and welcome space for our patients and employees. Our dedicated team is wiping down and disinfecting all areas – tables, chairs, desks, handles, knobs, etc – after each patient with extra vigilance.
  • We are providing our staff who are in direct contact with our patients appropriate PPE.
  • We have hand sanitizers placed all throughout our facilities.
  • Our administrative employees are working from home and we have asked our Patient Center teams to use extra caution when evaluating their own personal health and staying home if they’re not feeling well.

What We Ask of You –

  • We ask if you’re not feeling well, please stay home! We want to make sure everyone is safe and healthy.
  • Wear a mask.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 70% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Put distance between yourself and other people. This is especially important for people who are at higher risk of getting very sick.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow and wear a mask.
  • Throw used tissues in the trash.

Our hearts go out to everyone around the world that has been affected by this pandemic. We cannot stress enough the importance of community and supporting each other during times of uncertainty. We hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy.

Best regards,

The SleepQuest Team.

Sleep Apnea and COVID19 Q&A

We hope that you are staying safe and healthy during this unprecedented time. We recommend that if patients suspect they may have COVID-19, they consult their physician as to whether they should remain on PAP.

Answers were provided by Dr. Rafael Pelayo, M.D., SleepQuest’s Medical Affairs Consultant. If you have any questions regarding these recommendations, please contact us at Inquire@SleepQuest.com .

No. Neither CPAP nor Auto CPAP and bi-level/BiPAP should be considered treatments for COVID-19 pneumonia and are not substitutes for a ventilator.

Yes. Continued use of your PAP device is still recommended, including cleaning masks daily and devices weekly.

Important! Any person who has mild respiratory symptoms due to the COVID-19 virus should contact their physician. If they have been informed by their physician to stay home, it is best that they self-isolate from other non-infected people in their home. They could also consider sleeping in a different room from their partner.
