Personalized, Ongoing Care Based on Your Sleep Study
When Robert Koenigsberg founded SleepQuest twenty years ago, sleep apnea treatment was often ineffectual and erratic. There were no national standards of care, and patients were frequently left without guidance or a continuum of care. Mr. Koenigsberg set out to change the standard of care with SleepQuest. In addition to offering an effective at-home sleep study, our San Francisco Bay Area based company offers customized ongoing care and support throughout the entire treatment process. This high standard of care ensures greater effectiveness, affordability, and overall patient satisfaction. The Treatment Process
Our assessment will not provide a conclusive diagnosis, but it can reveal the possible symptoms of sleep apnea. If you exhibit signs of the disorder, we will then send an advanced at-home sleep study kit, which will measure your heart rate, oxygen saturation, airflow, and other factors that can indicate sleep apnea. After diagnosis, you will be assigned a personal sleep coach, who will provide continual education and support for your treatment. He or she will assist you in choosing the right treatment method for you.
At SleepQuest, we focus on PAP treatment, since it has proven the most effective form of sleep apnea care. We offer 40 types of PAP masks and several different types of devices. Your sleep coach will help you choose the right one for you.
After you receive your PAP device your ongoing care begins. Your sleep coach will check in with you 48 hours following your first treatment to ensure that you are comfortable and check in on your progress. 30 days after you receive your PAP device, your sleep coach will conduct a follow-up and evaluate your progress again. You will receive follow-up calls every 90 days to check that you have enough supplies and that your device is working correctly. Supplies typically last 3 to 6 months, and PAP devices usually last five years or more. Of course, should you have questions at any other point during treatment, your sleep coach will be available to answer your questions and provide support.
Some doctors and insurance companies hesitate to provide patients with PAP devices because of classically low compliance results in ineffective results. When used properly and regularly, PAP devices have a high success rate. While other sleep apnea care providers report a compliance rate of 50% or less, 91% of our patients regularly use their PAP devices. Because of our positive results and patient compliance rate, doctors and insurance companies around the country have partnered with SleepQuest to provide better, more cost effective sleep apnea treatment. We are accredited by the Joint Commission who examines our processes to ensure that our training, documentation and cleaning procedures meet their high level of healthcare standards.
