SleepQuest Achieves Coveted Accreditation

SleepQuest is proud to announce it has earned the highly valued accreditation from the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) by demonstrating compliance with national standards for health care quality and safety.

"In becoming accredited, SleepQuest was evaluated against a set of national standards by The Joint Commission's home care service survey team," says Debra Zak, Ph.D., RN, L.Ac., executive director, Home Care Accreditation, The Joint Commission. "Achieving accreditation demonstrates SleepQuest's commitment to providing high quality and safe care to its Obstructive Sleep Apnea patients."

The Joint Commission conducted an unannounced, on-site evaluation of SleepQuest in October. The accreditation award recognizes SleepQuest's dedication to complying with the state-of-the-art standards on a continuous basis, and authorizes the company to publicize and display the Gold Seal of Approval™.

SleepQuest President and CEO Robert Koenigsberg says Joint Commission accreditation shows that "we make a significant investment in quality on a day-to-day basis from the top down. We sought accreditation because we have always worked to provide the best service to our patients. We view this achievement as a validation of our continued efforts towards excellence."

Founded in 1951, The Joint Commission is dedicated to continuously improving the safety and quality of the nation's health care through voluntary accreditation. An independent, not-for-profit organization, the Joint Commission is the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. It evaluates more than 15,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States, including hospitals, medical centers, integrated delivery networks, disease-specific care programs, and health care staffing services.

"For the past 14 years, SleepQuest has been a champion of those suffering from Obstructive Sleep Apnea," Koenigsberg adds." We provide home sleep testing services as a valid and effective alternative to sleep labs. With our JCAHO accreditation, we hope that more people than ever may be able to take advantage of home sleep studies and treatment services."
